eFIG is the European Federation of Interior Landscape Groups, and represents all of its members from in and around the Interior Landscaping industry. eFIG is an independent, non-profit making organisation, funded by its members (both contractors and suppliers to the industry).

The committee is elected by members’ votes once a year. Each member is entitled to one vote regardless of the size of the company. The committee works on the day-to-day running of eFIG, continually striving to increase membership and promote the Interior Landscaping Industry.

eFIG was initially developed by a group of Interior Landscaping companies in 2001, following some negative press coverage of the industry. Frustrated by a lack of means through which to respond to such coverage, the Interior Landscapers decided they would be better heard as a group. They were passionate about their industry and about the work they were doing, and wanted to be able to represent that in a way that could be recognised by the public.

The decision to form a representative body was taken, with all members agreeing to work together to protect the reputation of the Interior Landscaping industry, and to promote the work done by Interior Landscapers.

eFIG is committed to informing and educating businesses and the public at large on the benefits of using plants indoors. At the same time they are committed to raising the industry standard in a number of ways including the annual eFIG Awards and a programme of training workshops which lead to member accreditation.

eFIG aims to raise the standards of the industry, to act as a lobbying body for recognition of the importance of interior planting in business, a community where members can share and exchange information as well as an advisory body for the industry. Lastly but just as importantly, eFIG members set the standard for professional services.

eFIG is also committed to promoting and marketing the industry and their members specifically to the media to gain wider recognition.

eFIG currently has over 80 members in the UK and internationally, and is recognised as a mark of distinction for the Interior Landscaping Industry.
