Before you start......
Don't be caught out by diving in to your project too early.
Before you start your project make sure that you have done the basics like insuring your project, the last thing you want is a costly claim against you or thieves stealing your materials without any way of recovering your costs.
If you are living in the property while the work takes place then we would recommend you speak to your current insurer to see if your policy does cover the work you intend to do or if they can add it onto your existing policy - having all of your insurance with one company will avoid any passing the buck or confusion if a claim was to be made.
If you don't currently live in the property then you can contact whichever insurance company you would prefer the policy to be with.
