Planning Permission

All major projects, such as self-builds, conversions, renovations and remodells require some form of planning permission.

Planning permission is granted via your local council - to locate your nearest council offices you can visit your County or City Council website - if you are unsure of where to find the website address you can visit the main government website at www.direct.gov.uk and search for 'Local Councils' - this will give you a link to an A to Z of all lcoal councils throughout the country.

There are two main types of planning permission;

• Outline Planning Permission
• Detailed Planning Permission
